Sony CFO Says PSP Needs Better Games to Succeed
Written by Administrator
Tuesday, 05 June 2007
When sales numbers drop as they have recently for the Sony PSP, people tend to want to know why. "Clearly on the software side, any real killer title will galvanize the sales…there have been a number of titles that have been terrific, but not the one title that defines the product," said Wiesenthal.

BT and Sony in deal to turn best-selling PSP console into mobile phone
Written by Administrator
Wednesday, 23 May 2007
Sony's hit games console, the PSP, is to be turned into a mobile and video phone in a deal with BT.

The PSP, which has a 4.3 inch high-resolution colour screen, is already loaded with hardware that allows it to connect to the internet via a wireless link.

Now BT technology will allow it to become a mobile phone, video phone and email device through a wi-fi link to the internet.

The PSP was launched in the UK in August 2005 at a price of just under £180, however the consoles can now be bought for less than £130.
